My name is Stephanie, and I created New Words to better serve families and their children struggling to communicate. I have a doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, along with state and national licensure. My research area was AAC communication partner training, specifically with siblings, and I have a passion for supporting complex communicators. I have five years of experience working with pediatric clients across a variety of settings. I specialize in serving children with autism or other developmental diagnoses needing high levels of language support or alternative communication (AAC). I believe in the power of play-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and child and family-centered approaches. I can't wait to work with you!

My goal at New Words is to empower your child to unlock their voice by providing communication modalities and supports that fit their individual lifestyle. I foster a collaborative space where we can work together to improve your child's effectiveness and confidence as a communicator. 

At New Words, services are individualized to address the goals you have for your child and family. We serve children ages birth to school-age in their homes.  Through New Words we are private pay.
